Frozen Codebase - Meet the Codebasers!

Adam Larson

Adam Larson attended college for Computer Science and Game Software Development. Adam has been programming since High School. When he's not coding or dominating at the daily Mario Kart competitions at work, he's usually spending time with his family or playing games. He also enjoys woodworking, paint ball, and golf.

Andrew Magyar

Andrew Magyar joined Frozen Codebase as a Game Programmer more than one year ago. He worked on Elements of Destruction and is now working on a new AAA title. He'd like you all to know: "Brett Favre Brett Favre Brett Favre Brett Favre Brett Favre Brett Favre"

Ben Geisler

Ben Geisler has been involved in game development for over eight years. He is a cross discipline producer who began as a programmer and has had job assignments in programming, management, gameplay, AI, scripting and design. Recent titles include Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Quake 4, and Screwjumper. With backing from the NEW Capital Group, Ben founded Frozen Codebase in mid-2006, with the principles of bridging the gap between casual and hardcore gaming. When Frozen Codebase "strikes it big", Ben intends to buy a bitchin' Camaro and park it on the lawn. Because that's how we roll.

Billy Sweetman

Apparently some one thinks I know what I'm doing.

Braulio Cejudo

Braulio Cejudo comes to us from working at Zoic Studios in sunny California. Brau would like everyone to know that, after watching his first Fox City Foxz home (roller derby) bout, he now UNDERSTANDS WHATS GOING ON. Also, sorry about the pillow, Norb.

Chad Heim

Chad Heim has been professionally programming for over 10 years. After graduating from UIUC, Chad has worked on a variety of projects ranging from small embedded systems to large scale business applications. Not so long ago, Chad's passion for programming and his enjoyment of gaming had led separate lives. Those lives were kept ruthlessly apart by the villainous powers of "The Corporate Environment". Then, one day, Chad heard the calling. Wielding his skills like the finely crafted blade, he defeated the oppressing overlords of TPS reports and water cooler meetings. Now the once divided lives of programming and gaming live harmoniously in the land of Frozen Codebase as a game programmer.

Cody Durant

Cody Durant moved from Midland, TX in 2000 to Phoenix, AZ to go to The Art Institute. After finally graduating in 2005, he went to work at VoreTek in Scottsdale, AZ working on sports games until April 2008 when he moved to Green Bay, WI to work at Frozen Codebase. The epic journey continues...

Doc Schelter

Doc Schelter is a 13+ year game veteran, having experience in AAA games ranging from Homeworld to Scarface. Past studio credits include CaveDog, HeadGames, Relic, Turbine, Radical and others.

Eric Francksen

Eric Francksen joins Frozen Codebase with a great love for video games and the great creative people it attracts. As a Wisconsin native, Eric is happy to find himself in Green Bay and at Frozen Codebase. Eric holds a BFA from Viterbo University with a focus in digital media and business. His background in these two disciplines found a happy culmination as an assistant producer; helping his creative teams in any way he can. Perhaps more important than his work as assistant producer...perhaps more important than his role as IGDA Madison coordinator...is Eric's role in continuing the Mario Kart DS tradition, "Throwdown"!

Erin Basten

Erin hails from right here in Green Bay. Likes: Macs, photography, Photoshop, RPG games, tequila, singing, and spending the green backs. Hates: anything to do with NFL teams (no particular teams, of course), waiting, reading the instructions, and driving slow.

Greg Kellerman

Greg is neither a programmer nor an artist. He is neither a unicorn nor a hobbit. He is a white dude with some designing skills. If you have a game idea to pitch me, please send it to Ben Geisler. He LOVES outside game ideas and will listen for hours and hours...

Isabel Armstrong

Isabel Armstrong stumbled upon video games when she won a Sega Genesis for an art competition at the tender age of 10. After 3 years majoring in Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona, she made the hard call to answer to her life-long passion for games, which eventually lead her to pursue a B.S. in Computer Science and a career in game AI programming. Recently shipped titles include the online multi-player strategy/CCG PoxNora. Her favorite genres of games are 3rd person action/adventure and survival horror. In her spare time Isabel enjoys cooking, playing guitar, and playing with her guinea pigs. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Isabel is also a fluent speaker of Mandarin Chinese.

James Lupiani

James Lupiani is a native of St. Petersburg, FL. His interest in game programming begun in the late 90's with modding games. After working as an independent contractor and an intern at GarageGames, he signed on as one of the original six employees of Frozen Codebase.

Jared Marker

A long-time Green Bay resident, Jared Marker attended UW-Steven's Point for a year, then spent four years at UW-Green Bay before graduating in May 2007 with a B.S.degree in Computer Science. Currently Jared is enthusiastic about being a video game programmer on whatever project he finds himself on at Frozen Codebase. Outside of work Jared enjoys spending time w/ his girlfriend Kate, music, Linux, and working on the t4 set for his night elf hunter. lol.

Jason Kim

Born in Columbus, Ohio far from his homeland, a full red hot blooded Korean male named Jason Kim emerged from the womb playing Starcraft a full 15 years before its release. Known for punching and kicking things while programming, this man turns code into a martial art. Yelling "Look beyond the script, you shall see only my fist" He Graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Computer Science, he hoped one day to make the video games he loves so much. Just like he eats everything in sight, Jason looks to consume the gaming industry with his fiery passion. Just like his punches upon a steel door, Jason looks to leave his impression on the gaming world. Jason Kim is jump kicking his way to victory! PS: Jason Kim was able to play Starcraft in 1982 from a time machine he stole by punching a scientist in the face and then eating his dog and kicking a giant eagle into extinction

Jens Schneider

Jens comes to us from Austin, Texas. Jens has been into computers ever since he was 12 on his Commodore 64. His first job in the games industry was at Midway Games, Austin. He worked on his first AAA title "Area51 Blacksite", as a scripter. He moved on to Steel Penny Games where he developed Wirelog, a multi purpose network logger. Jens is now at Frozen Codebase where he's working on his 2nd AAA title. Jens enjoys playing guitar, piano, watching UFC and scary movies (preferably the Asian ones.) He was born and raised in Germany, Cologne, at the Rhine-- where they make Koelsch.

Jesse Rahikainen

Ever since he got his first Atari as a wee child, Jesse Rahikainen has been a gamer, and ever since he first got a computer as a not-nearly-as-wee-but-still-small child he's been a programmer. After going to a technical college for two years he finally decided to take the only logical step and merge the two. Since then he has graduated with a BS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay and been too busy making games to have a life.

Justin Kovac

Justin Kovac has driven himself into the gaming industry through self-teaching and tons of dedication. Justin is now a 2+ year game veteran. He worked on Marble Blast Ultra for the Xbox 360 Live! Arcade marketplace as his first (and definitely not last!) shipped title. Justin was also lead designer on Elements of Destruction and currently lead artist on an un-announced original IP title.

Karol I. David

Karol I. David learned 3D Model at an internship at Turbo Squid Inc in 2003. She started freelancing full-time in 2006 and worked on projects for the game, film and commercial industry. Karol is now working on her 3rd game title.

Kelli Davis

Kelli Davis' history with games started before she was born. Her mother and father met over a rousing game of Mrs. Pacman at a Denny's and the rest they say is history. Growing up in this environment it was only natural that she would want to continue down the path for her career. After school she became involved with the Halo community and the PMS clan. Both of which have given her ample support to pursue her dream. She eventually landed at Frozen Codebase where she currently nests and fuels her plans for world domination.

Kurt Henrickson

While struggling to write a bio that didn't make him sound like a self infatuated pro-wrestler or a desperate myspacer trolling for approval from the masses, Kurt Henrickson sat his girlfriend down and asked for her help.....to which she responded "you're cute!" Yes he is, yes he is.

Miles Wadsworth

The heathen gods placed upon the world a most terrible curse..lightning clashed.. the earth shook.. magma oozed from it's bowls... and then there was Miles..

Rev. Norb Rozek

A lifelong inmate of the frozen tundra, Norb published Northeastern Wisconsin's first music fanzine, Sick Teen, while a high school student, then went on to perform with a string of increasingly bizarre bands (most notably Boris The Sprinkler), write for a string of increasingly obscure publications (most notably MaximumRockNRoll and Razorcake), and collect a string of increasingly useless personal possessions (most notably his Sacred Mystic Antler Helmet, though his Meowth sport sipper is a close second). Having dabbled in everything from radio (WGBW FM) to television (The Entertainer! TV Show) to adult movie reviews (WisconsinXXX, which lasted all of one issue), Nørb migrated to games because they were the last remaining weird thing he had not yet done. He enjoys living down the questionable legacy of being known as "the guy who thought of Screwjumper!", and substituting an empty set for the letter "o" in his name, which, as he points out, "means absolutely nothing."

Ryan Ries

Ryan is a QA Intern. But in this picture he's not wearing his mandatory Bunny Suit.

Ryoji Chang

Originally hailing from Thailand by way of the jungles of Laos, this break dancing lunatic escaped from war-torn Vietnam and made his way to America, eventually finding himself in the marginally less dangerous field of QA. Ryoji Chang is an artist by choice, and, having recently become a naturalized citizen of the United States, claims his ultimate goal is to become President of the USA. Although Ryoji's birth certificate clearly indicates that he is ten years too young to become President, Ryoji points out that he entered the country without any actual birth information, and that, as far as he knows, he might actually have been born in 1973, not 1983. The rumor that Ryoji was smuggled into the country in a false bottomed beer keg has yet to be substantiated.

Vincent Mysliwjec

Vince Mysliwjec enjoys pick-up-and-play games when he's not programming. Its been said that he is the Jeff Gordon of Mario Kart. As an unbiased 3rd party he would have to agree. He enjoys any form of competition so long as he can win!
